Jones Supply A.I. Sales & Service, Inc., established by Jerry Jones in the 1980s, is a family-owned company based in Okeechobee, FL, providing services throughout Central and South Florida.
The company originally operated from a warehouse at the town's historic train station, offering a selection of ADM Animal Nutrition feed and breeding supplies. In 2009, Jones Supply moved to its current location and broadened its operations to include distribution of ABS Global, ADM Animal Nutrition, and Liquid Nitrogen products. Arrowquip products were added in 2022. The business has expanded its service area from Ocala to Miami and now exports feed and Arrowquip Livestock Equipment.
Jerry Jones began his career on his family's farm in Iowa, assisting local dairy and beef farmers with artificial insemination (A.I.) and genetics. He held roles in multiple regions and retired after achieving sales of 1.5 million units of semen with ABS Global. During his career, he served on the Independent Representatives Association Board for ABS Global. Jerry completed an A.I. Management Course in 1964 and became an ABS Global representative in Northwest Iowa in 1969. He managed both beef and dairy farms while operating Jones & Sons and was frequently ranked among the top five in sales. ABS assigned him to positions in Los Banos, California, and Okeechobee, Florida, where Jones Supply was founded. Post-retirement, Jerry
can still be found at the store building picnic benches, gliders and cages.
Jeff Jones began working in agriculture at age six and gained experience on his family's farm before moving to California in 1985, where he worked as a feed supervisor and assistant herdsman. After over twenty years in the US Army, Jeff retired and moved to Okeechobee in 2006. Since then, he has managed Jones Supply and transitioned the business into a retail operation open six days a week. He has represented independent representatives for ABS Global, Inc. throughout the South and Southeast United States.
The Jones family participates in community service, with Jeff serving on several local boards and committees, including the Board of Directors for the Okeechobee County Cattlemen’s Association, Vice President of the Okeechobee Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of the Agri-Civic Center Advisory Committee, and member of the Board of Directors for the Okeechobee County Fair Association. He also serves as Co-leader of the Barn Raised 4H Club and holds Lifetime Membership in both the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and the American Legion.
